Drawing workshop wrap up

Ten aspiring master drawers attended a two day drawing workshop with Don Milner last week-end.

They learnt the fundamentals of good drawing through Don introducing them to techniques such as hatching, cross hatching, lifting out, scoring and smudging. Don started the workshop with some quick exercises which explored the use of “light on dark” rendering of the form. He then had participants draw a series of simplistic images which put these new principles into practice.
