5th Birthday Celebrations

There was a happy crowd of people at the Kilcoy Art Society’s 5th Birthday Party on Sunday, 13 August. It’s been five years since the society moved into their building (the old courthouse) at Yowie Park. Lyn Badman made an artistic cake shaped into an artist’s palette to celebrate the five years and members brought along party food to enjoy.

The occasion also marked the three-monthly changeover in the exhibition. The gallery now has a vast array of different paintings, sculptures and jewellery as well as cards. President, Ian Badman, thanked all the artists whose work is on display and those involved in bringing together the successful exhibition. There have been brisk sales already with three major pieces of work being sold.
