Christine Hopkins
‘Art is part of your soul, it pushes you, challenges you, it lifts you. It is an ongoing journey’
Christine started life in the south-west of Western Australia until moving to Queensland with her husband early 2000. Between 2001 -2002, Christine entered many local exhibitions until 2003, when life circumstances including studying social work, lead to a 14-year hiatus in art, and Christine not picking up the brush until late 2016, with art becoming a major part of her life again late 2017.
Despite carer duties, 2018 saw Christine holding her first solo exhibition in September at Vianta Café Beerwah as well as several local art exhibitions in the Sunshine Coast region. Christine is holding a solo exhibition March 2020 at the Maroochydore Library Artspace and a joint exhibition October -November 2019 at Art Hub Cooroy. The journey continues….
