Darla Boyd

Currently residing in Mt Mee and although semi-retired, Darla is still involved with teaching drawing skills and all mediums as well as tutoring home schooled children.

Darla trained at Callaghan University College, Newcastle Technical College Art School, Newcastle Teachers College, Newcastle University (Visual Arts) Curtin University (Contemporary Arts).

Darla has attended many workshops with Australia’s leading artists including William Dobell, Jack McDonagh, Ruth Uhrig, Kevin Oxley, Ross Patterson, David Taylor and Eric Whisson.

Workshops that Darla has conducted have been held throughout the Moreton Bay Area and outback Queensland locations such as Charleville and Cunnamulla.

Darla’s has been Artist in Residence for the Queensland Billy Festival and the Launceston City Council, Tasmania.

Darla’s works are held in Australia and overseas collections including Japan, Malaysia and Europe.
