Lisa May

Lisa May is a self taught artist who has lived and worked in London, Bangkok and Melbourne before recently relocating to Kilcoy, QLD.

Lisa specializes in portraits, both drawings and paintings in oils. Her subjects are usually of the human kind but portraits of birds have also been a fascination.

The process of creating a portrait involves getting to know the character and story behind the face and reflecting the subject’s personality in the work.

Lisa has been a finalist in the Doug Moran, Percival, and Lester Portrait Prize Exhibitions and a semi finalist in the BP Portrait Award and has works in private and public collections. She has had a number of solo and joint exhibitions over the last twelve years.
