AOM August: Kris Wheeler

Kris Wheeler is the Artist of the Month for August at the Kilcoy Courthouse Art Gallery.

To Kris it seems that she has been painting and drawing all her life. She sold her first paintings at the age of fifteen whilst studying art at high school. Kris moved from Sydney to Queensland in her early twenties and after rearing four children she returned to her passion of art and studied graphic design and commercial art.

Ink and wash is Kris’s favourite art medium but she also enjoys the challenges of watercolour and oils. Kris’s work is diverse and includes still life, beach scenes, cityscapes and animals.
