Carol Robinson

Some years ago I found myself on the wrong side of 60 with a lot of time on my hands. I decided to teach myself mosaics. After completing a number of pieces I tried combining mosaics with wood. I found I enjoyed working with the two medias, but still found something missing. I decided to incorporate clay as well. The marriage of mixed media worked really well for me and my imagination started on a new and exciting path. I am into recycling, re-purposing, and just plain having fun with whatever I can get my hands on. I use tiles, jewellery, metal, wood, leather almost any reclaimed or found object. A lot of my family and friends give me very interesting things that challenge my creative imagination, which I enjoy immensely.
